Michael Haskell aka “Invalid’ was raised in Kansas City, Kansas on Quindaro Boulevard. Starting as a teenager a random moment turned into a lifelong passion for rap and the development of his craft. Studying film in college provided opportunities of incorporating newly learned techniques but also some free time to start homing in on his music. His strong foundation and belief to keep striving and growing caused Invalid to invade the scene with a heavy presence of talent, intelligence, and a message worth listening to. 

Invalid’s eccentric smooth sound is elevated with mindful lyrical content putting into words expressions and emotions that reverberate the modern madness. With an eclectic fusion of hip hop, rock, pop and a mixture of both yesterday and today Invalid’s style is without comparison. Consciousness turn up rap with a message playing on the pitfalls of society while simultaneously creating a breath of fresh air and energy that elevates. 

Invalid’s onstage presence is second to none. The pure inertia projected from this artist allows for fans and strangers to experience an opportunity to let loose while also getting a little truth dropped on them in the process. 

Already making a name for himself Invalid has performed in an array of venues including Riot Room and Voodoo Lounge in Kansas City. He has opened for artists including Yukmouth, the Alchemist, and Mobb Deep.
